Device Manager recognizes DCR-HC38 via USB, but software doesn't

I have DCR-HB38 and i installed d software my cam is recognized through device manager but not from scanners and cameras 4m comtrol panel as well as not working. When i m opening the software its asking for ilink cable though the cam is connected via usb.
