Hi, my camcorder HDR SR7 has the same problem. I think this is a code of autofocus error. The autofocus lens supposed to connect to the autofocus motor, but now something is wrong with the connection. This is why if you tap the camera, sometimes it connects again (its up to your fortune). To fix this you need to disammble whole camera and replace the parts, this is the reason Sony charge you hundreds bucks.

Thank you. To all the folks who suggested the solution to hit the camera on the back/side to get rid of infamous E:62:10 error.
Wish you prosperity in near future. :-)
I had the same problem with my Sony camcorder HDR-SR12. It is fixed now.
