HDR-HC7 Image Shaking

I use HC7, in a fix focus mode, in simple housing (IE just turn the HC7 on, close the housing, and leave it for an hour). I found out that after around 20 minutes the picture starts shaking and the focus gets bad. I did an experiment leaving the camera on a table, and it does not happen. I thought it might be that the underwater shakes, drived the "camera steady" mechanical mechanism crazy. Did anyone seen that? Is there any solution?

Does the HDR-HC7 has image stabilization function? If so, maybe that has gone bad. Depending on whether it's optical image stabilization or digital image stabilization, it could be the mechanical stabilizer or the controller chip, respectively.

Joe,

I have an HDR-HC7, and mine does the same thing when the camera body gets warm. Worse yet, I just picked-up a used HDR-HC9, and it has the same problem. I will return the HDR-HC9 to the store. The only work-around I know is to use a can of air-duster turned upside down. Spray the top portion of the camcorder until it cools-down.

I can fix this ( https://vimeo.com/181229317 ) problem by taking the lens system apart and repairing the root cause.
