HandyCam DCR-HC24E, Windows Vista, USB

I Have HandyCam DCR-HC24E with Vista O/S,Ive Tried installing the driver as indicated but it has a yellow triange and a black! in it.When i switch the cam on a usb and grren tick comes on for about 5 secs on the task bar then gose off the lap top dont seem to find the camara.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
