Sony AIS to power an LED when filming?

greetings...I am a videographer during Scuba diving and would love to install an LED lamp at the rear of my housing that lights while recording and turns of when not. This will allow me to easily see when recording without having to look through the tiny viewfinder. I have an HDR-SR1. I am hoping someone knows whether I can tap into the AIS for a 3 volt powered pin directly to the LED to accomplish this. Any help immensely appreciated! Vidman
