Sony Camcorder DCR-TRV260 wont playback

My Sony Handycam DCR-TRV260 wont play back. The camera works fine but when i go to play the tape back it wont play. I don't get any error codes just a blue screen and the time in the upper right hand side is not running. The tape is moving but i get nothing. Please help!!!!!!!
