Sony Connector Pin Definitions

Does anyone know the pin definitions of the Sony 10pin AV connector? or of the docking station connector?
That little 10pin connector is not rugged enough for helmet camera applications (even with the Extreme Recall right-angle connector). I'm thinking of replacing the 10pin connector with the old-style 3.5mm, 4 segment connector which is less susceptible to intermittent connections when jiggled. The other alternative is to steal the connector from a docking station and feed the audio and video signals in that way. I only need the composite video and left+right audio input lines. If the docking connector includes the LANC signals, then I could simplify my wiring harness. My camera is a PC1000, but the pin definitions are probably the same for all Sony camcorders that use the same connectors.

The service manual for the PC1000 (and many other cameras) is available on www.nodevice.com (for 5 Euros). It identifies all the pins. There is also a discussion on www.sonyhdvinfo.com about the "infamous A/V 'D' plug" which identifies the pins. The 10pin AV connector includes the LANC signals which means they are also available via the docking connector. A helmet camera wiring harness could connect to the camcorder with a single, reliable connector and pass not only audio and video, but on/off/record/stop/ as well.
