Sony DCR-PC101E doesn't turn on in 'camera' mode.

Hello. I have a Sony DCR-PC101E, and it suddenly stopped working in 'CAMERA' mode. 'VCR' mode works perfectly, and I can even record in 'MEMORY' mode, but when I select 'CAMERA' mode, it turns off just like selecting 'OFF (CHARGE)' mode.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
