Doesn't work. I'd advise to stick with Windows XP as both Sony and Microsoft will not upload a driver or fix for this camera. I found your webpage by looking for firewire on the camera. Since Vista will not recognise the software (because it was made for XP, and Vista is suppose to be a "plug and play") I was curious to see if i could get around it from using the USB to using the firewire. I have to install the card in my new Dell "Inspirion".
I wasn't sure if i just by a generic i.port connector from the store if that would fit for the camera or if it HAS to be a Sony made specifically for the camera.
Your advice greatly appreciated.

I'm not fully understanding your situation. At this time, are you trying to get USB to work or are you trying to get Firewire to work? The card you want to buy, are you trying to get an USB card or a Firewire card?
