Sony Video8 Tape Won't Eject

Hello Folks,
I have a Sony CCD-V8AF/AFu video camera that I bought in 1986. I recently bought a Canon mini-DV camera that is capable of "digitizing" my old High 8 tapes, so that I can move my videos to my computer, edit them and then "burn" DVD's. So, I hooked up my old Sony camera to my new Canon and began copying the tapes from High 8 to Mini DV. However, one of the tapes broke inside the High 8 cassette and now it won't eject from the Sony. All I get is a blinking light below the eject button and the eject button does nothing.
I tried taking off the 2 screws that hold the cover on over the cassete and lifted it up gently, but I couln't lift it more than 1/3 of the way. Is there something I can press inside to make the tape eject?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
