Pulled the TRV-350 out of the closet to setup with an external helmetcam. I sent the signal thru the 3.5mm jack on the camera side, it recorded with no problems. I can playback the video on the viewfinder and the LCD screen fine but I pretty much get a black screen with some barely visible lettering from the time/ date display. The sound is fine, and I have checked and rechecked to be sure the unit is not in HI8 playback.
At first the unit would not playback thru the Firewire port on my computer, but going thru this board directed me to install a PCI Firewire card from another computer. After installing the card there were no problems and my Premiere Elements recognized the TRV-350.
I've tried 2 different cables to the TV's front mounted phono plug inputs and even the shortened cable I made to feed from the helmetcam. Nothing works. I've tried another TV also. The picture was working fine during the camcorders' last use.
Thanks for any input.
