TRV310 video control buttons do not work

I have a TRV310 that was working fine then none of the control buttons would function. The menu button, zoom, volume etc no longer work either. The remote commander works with no problem. I cleaned the camcorder per Sonys instructions & it did nothing to fix this issue. I again contacted Sony & was told "Were sorry the buttons dont work".

Any suggestions?
