Hello,
I also have a problem with this camera. I fell with it in hand while I was filming and running in the sand (yes, that's a stupid thing to do with a camera), and seems that the HD is dead forever. Hopefully the memory stick still works fine.
But I'd like to replace the HD. Anyone has any idea ?
Thanks !

Title: How to replace the hard disk in Sony HDD camcorder
Weblog: Camera Hacker
Excerpt: Does anyone know, how do you replace the hard disk in a Sony camcorder? If I find a replacement drive, does the new drive have to be formatted or preloaded before putting it in, or can the camera do it? Thanks!
