CCD-TRV318 cassette carrier problem

Problems Galore! I use a CCd-TRV318. I put a tape in and closed the side, when the drawer started descending it stopped midway. Nothing i did helped it either down or up. Adventurous as i am, i disassembled the camera and took the tape out. After reassembling the unit, i turn it on and the drawer descended. (hooray) Thing is, now the drawer won't eject, and i get a C:32:30 error. Who's willing to take a shot at this one?

PS I tried all the battery removal permutations [in this thread].
